Description:

Mainfreight operates an extensive national and international freight network, with 13 locations across Queensland spanning metropolitan and regional areas.

In 2023, Mainfreight engaged MasterPlan to undertake planning due diligence for a new freight depot on Goulburn Road in Willawong. Following acquisition, MasterPlan lodged a development application in 2024 for a 15,300 square metre facility on the 8-hectare site, designed to service Brisbane’s south and south-west while complementing existing operations in Wacol and Narangba.

Working closely with Belbo Property Solutions and a multidisciplinary consultant team, MasterPlan led the project through pre-lodgement engagement, application lodgement, referrals, and resolution of an information request.



Planning approval was granted by Brisbane City Council in November 2024. MasterPlan has continued to support subsequent applications and project delivery, with the depot currently under construction and expected to be operational by July 2026.
