Description:
MasterPlan assisted a landowner in securing planning approval for two semi-detached dwellings and the creation of undersized allotments in Beaumont, SA. The project required a carefully constructed planning argument to support the reduced allotment sizes, along with a bespoke built form that responded sensitively to the established character of the area.
The approved design presents to the street as a single, two-storey detached dwelling, promoting a cohesive streetscape appearance. A range of architectural treatments – including a
non-symmetrical façade, consistent material palette, off-centred fenestration, and the absence of visible party walls – contribute to a refined and integrated elevation. Importantly, the garages are discreetly positioned and screened by proposed fencing, ensuring they do not dominate the façade or detract from the overall presentation.
Through strategic advice and careful management of the planning process, MasterPlan delivered a streamlined pathway to approval, enabling the landowner to achieve their development objectives of maximising the development potential efficiently, cost-effectively and in a manner that was respectful of the local character and setting.
