David has worked as a strategic and policy planner for 30 years, in both Local and State Government. David joined MasterPlan in early 2022 following 4 years with the State Government where he directly assisted with implementation of the State’s planning reform agenda. David assisted regional councils with their transition to the Planning and Design Code and the new Development Assessment Processing system and led information sessions for regional communities as part of consultation on the Code.

From 2007 to 2017 David worked for the South Australian Tourism Commission where he provided policy and proposal advocacy across all levels of Government on behalf of the tourism industry. David worked on a range of projects to assist tourism development throughout the State, including strategy development and facilitation of infrastructure upgrades. 

David’s extensive experience and strong communication, negotiation and project management skills allow him to work with a range of stakeholders to achieve quality outcomes.
